OH WHAT A MESS!
The NY Times has another article on the Vatican and the abuse crisis in the Church. Surprisingly, the English speaking bishops come off rather well. Too much top down and not enough bottom up.
Very true. Very true. General Anthony Zinni has a wonderful book on leadership: Called to Serve. It disappoints people who have been schooled in the topic, but for an amateur like myself it was eye opening. It is distressing that the Catholic Church has not opened up channels to hear the voices of the people even to the extent that the US Marine Corps has!
