And the responsible party is...............
Vatican officials seem intent on finding other people to blame. Blame the gays! Blame the Jews! Blame the press! Blame the bigots! One Spanish bishop even seemed to blame the youth. What I don't see is any evidence of a very old and very important Catholic practice: examination of one's own conscience, and examination of social sin. Very true. But it is almost amusing in its absurdity these days.
Yes, if it weren't so serious it would be hysterically funny. The Vatican seems to be the spin capital of the world at the moment.
